What Not to Do

We talk a lot about improvement around here. Helping to improve small businesses by being a part of reaching their goals, improving in our team, and improving in our personal lives. But a great way flip those thoughts and find a new perspective is to think about what NOT to do. Here are some ideas that can help you think about what you should be doing in a new way:

BLAME OTHERS

If you make a mistake, take responsibility for your actions and move forward! Get better, learn what you did, why you did it an how you can fix it. Please don’t blame other people.

LOSE SIGHT

It’s important to remember the reasons why you started your business. What did it feel like when you first took that leap of faith? What were your dreams way back then? Don’t lose sight of your long-term goals.

IGNORE YOUR CUSTOMERS

Your customers keep your business afloat! Focus on the customers you have by giving them unparalleled service and making their experience with your business the best. More customers will come, but don’t focus on what you don’t have. Focus on what you do have, be the best you can be, and your business will expand.

DO EVERYTHING

You are not a robot. It can be hard for many small business owners, but it’s important to delegate to the people on your team who have strengths in the areas where you don’t. You’re not a super hero, you’re a small business owner, don’t do everything.
