Happy 5th Birthday, Larison Media!
You’ve heard the phrase ‘time flies’, and as we celebrate Larison Media’s five-year anniversary today. We couldn’t agree more. The last five years have included growth, adventure, risk, learning, a few tears, a bit of dancing, and too many laughs to count.
At the heart of our journey so far, are our incredible clients. Truly, we exist to help our clients stay relevant in this crazy, fast-changing world. And it certainly has been a crazy, fast-changing world in the last five years. And we are here for it. We are here for you!
To all of our clients, past and present, thank you. We cannot express our gratitude enough to let you know how much we appreciate the privilege it has been to serve you and be included in a part of your small business’ online presence.
As we reflect back, here are five things we’ve learned along the way:
1. Small business owners are incredible
At Larison Media, we legitimately love helping our clients. And our clients are small business owners. Small business owners are a special breed of people. They have a rare combination of vision and passion. Working with them is a privilege. They have a dream for their business and they’re making it happen. They’re personally invested in the success of their business. The communities they live in, the customers and clients they serve… they matter to you. And that matters to us. Our clients are the best.
2. Service matters
You’ve heard of the Golden Rule, right? To treat others the way you want to be treated. Here’s an idea to take your service to the next level: treat others better than the way you want to be treated. If you’re in the client service industry, it is essential that you’re continually going above and beyond to give your clients an unparalleled service experience. Before long, they won’t be clients, they’ll be fans.
3. Try, fail, get back up and try again
Mistakes are a part of the learning process. We’ve found that when we own our mistakes, learn from them and move forward, that’s how we grow. When our mindsets make the jump from an employee mentality to an owner mentality, everything is better. It’s the difference between blaming and fixing. At Larison Media, we collaborate and get better.
4. Keep your values in the heart of your business
At Larison Media, we legitimately love helping our clients. We have Core Values that guide everything we do. We have them hanging in our office as a daily reminder about who Larison Media is, who we are as a team, and how those Core Values are a part of everything we do. Read more about our Core Values here.
5. You’re a culture creator
As a small business owner, you’re a leader. You set the tone for your team, for your office, for the entire culture of your company. (No pressure!) Keep that in mind as you make daily choices and think through your plans with intention. Hire the best people, and build a company culture that is irresistible to future employees.
Some people might call us a social media company. Some people might call us a graphic design company. Some people might call us a marketing agency.
What we really are is a business creative shop that is helping our clients stay relevant in this crazy, fast-changing world. We’ve been doing it for five years now, we’ve learned so much. And we’re just getting started.
